Every once in a while, it feels good to take stock in good advice. Like revisiting quotes written down in old notebooks and reflecting on how they might still apply in life. Pearls of wisdom in the form of affirmations you can appreciate because it is transmitted without judgement. The same words from a spouse or friend might be quickly dismissed, but for some reason the same thoughts are more precious when derived from their source.
Here are some random quotes I came across last week and thought I’d share, (without judgement of course).
“Tashi Delek; May you be happy in the here and now, and may you finally achieve definite goodness.”
“Wisdom comes from directly observing the truth of our experience. We learn as we become able to live fully in the moment, rather than being lost in the dreams, plans, memories, and commentaries of the thinking mind.” Kornfield
“You must not let your life run in the ordinary way; do something that nobody else has done, something that will dazzle the world. Show that God’s creative principle works in you.”
“Keep away from small people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great ones make you feel that you too can become great.” Twain
