Yoga - "Yoke" - to bind, to attach, to direct. "A science validated through practice." A powerful method for personal evolution, not learned through reading books but by experience."There are many distractions in yoga with its myriad of styles and trends. It is easy to fall into a practice that creates distance from mindfulness rather than an emulsifying one with the moment.

As a teacher of yoga I witness students move through the phases of learning yoga that concentrate the visually attractive more than physiologically dynamics. In the beginning this is important and is imperative to moving further towards allowing the science of yoga to take place.

"There are things in life that are not known until they're known. The same holds true in yoga."

"It is not important the shape of your body, but the shape of your life."

"As water takes the shape of its container, so the thought takes the shape of the mind."

"Yoga is a journey of the self, through the self, to the self."

"Yoga is movement toward unity, all suffering is a lack of unity."

Incessant needs can easily be digested in the mind and then manifested in the form of tension or urgency. Practice takes root and grows at its own pace, there is no space for tension or urgency in an immaculate yoga practice, it is an act of honesty without ego or contention.
